Highway guardrail installation methods:
1. Expansion screw fixed installation type: Before installing highway guardrails, the lower foundation of the civil engineering structure, usually already concrete, is in place. The highway guardrail is welded to the base plate under the column and directly fixed to the center of the lower foundation.
2. Direct excavation and concrete pre-embedding installation type: If there is no wall at the site and the soil is muddy, it is necessary to dig a pit for pre-embedding. The pit size is 40L*40W*50H, and it is filled with concrete. The posts are embedded vertically and fixed, and the highway guardrail can be installed only after the cement has solidified. The characteristic of this method is that it is stronger than bolt connection, but attention must be paid to straight and horizontal lines during pre-setting.
3. Hole pre-embedding type: When constructing the wall, installation holes for the posts are reserved, with a depth of about 30cm and a diameter approximately twice that of the post. During installation, the posts are vertically pre-embedded and fixed, and the road barrier can be installed after the cement has cured.
Highway guardrail installation precautions:
1. The spacing between the posts and the steel lining needs to be consistent with the design dimensions to ensure that the pre-assembled semi-finished products can be connected to them.
2. Pull parallel lines (upper and lower) within the entire straight section as an installation adjustment reference to ensure the straightness of the upper and lower ends of the barrier after installation.
